ABOUT PUNDI
PUNDI (Yayasan Pundi Dharma Insani) is established in Jakarta in December 2021 (Ministry of Law Decree No. AHU-0029001.AH.01.01.2021), with an active federal UEI registration No. JR66XYL3ERQ7 that positions PUNDI to engage directly with U.S. federal assistance frameworks and comparable international funding instruments. The foundation is built by a team of seasoned social-sector practitioners with years of experience engaging community-based initiatives in food security and community resiliency. PUNDI combines five years of continues program delivery with resource management discipline that institutional and international partners expect.
UNIQUE APPROACH
Pundi works where three pressures meet in Greater Jakarta: food that is unaffordable, water that is unsafe, and livelihoods that are unstable. We operate as a program incubator and accompaniment partner. We want to engage them from the very beginning, designed a community-based initiatives, connect them to resources & subject-matter experts, and facilitate the execution and provide mentorship.
Our Vision
Our Mission
Equipping people's mindsets and transforming lives through social entrepreneurship and resilience in the face of climate change and disaster risk.
-
Build community food self-sufficiency starting from the immediate neighbourhood
-
Set up water and energy systems that do not depend on a single network
-
Equip residents and young people with relevant vocational training
-
Grow self-reliant communities and social entrepreneurship

Our Capacity
Pundi is led by practitioners with more than twenty years of combined experience in finance, governance, programme delivery and internationally funded development work.
1 / Financial discipline
Our leadership brings 20+ years of governance, risk and compliance experience across major internationally funded programs, including experitise in U.S. federal cost principles (2 CFR 200), sub-award monitoring, procurement oversight and cost-share documentations.
2 / Delivery network
Pundi executives through a coordinated network of operating and technical partners across each program pillar - allowing us to scale field delivery quickly while retaining central financial and reporting control.
3 / Partnership readiness
Pundi is structured and staffed to take on program development, sub-recipient management, and field-level accompaniment for initiatives supported by foreign missions, bilateral and multilateral agencies, and global philanthropic institutions.
How We Work
Community-run, not community-targeted. Programmes are designed with existing local enterprise and handed to local operators. Our role is accompaniment, capital and standards — not permanent management.
Enterprise before grant dependency. Each programme is designed toward an operating surplus. Our community kitchen and water depots generate revenue that sustains delivery between grant cycles.
Delivery through vetted partners. Rather than building parallel capacity, we work through specialist operating partners with a track record in their field. Programme cost goes to delivery, not to head office.
Measured, reported, and open to being wrong. We publish our figures with the method behind them. Where a figure is an estimate, we say so. Where a programme underperformed, we say that too.
Working with faith communities
Pundi delivers several programmes in partnership with congregations — most consistently with HKBP Resort Ujung Menteng and, for RPK Arun Farm, with HKBP Resort Cibubur. Congregations offer three things a greenfield site cannot: premises, an organised volunteer base, and an existing relationship of trust in the neighbourhood.
Working with a faith institution does not narrow who a programme serves. Pundi's programmes are open to all members of the surrounding community regardless of religion, ethnicity, gender, disability or political affiliation, and no programme benefit is conditional on religious participation of any kind. Selection criteria for training cohorts, water access and food assistance are published and applied uniformly.
Where a programme is delivered under the auspices of a partner institution, we say so, and we describe our own role precisely — as organiser, co-implementer, curriculum provider, or funder.
